Construction Site Manager (Residential Projects)

About the role

Highall Developments Ltd is seeking experienced Construction Site Managers to oversee residential projects across Greater Manchester and Merseyside. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of developments valued between £2m and £10m.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site activities to meet programme, quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead and motivate site teams, including subcontractors, to achieve project objectives.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily site operations.
• Monitor progress, conduct regular inspections, and ensure works meet specifications.
• Liaise with Construction Manager, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate site records, health & safety documentation, daily diaries, and progress reports.
• Attend site and progress meetings and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate inspections with local Building Inspectors and warranty providers, taking corrective action as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager in the residential sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• SMSTS certification.
• CSCS card.
• First Aid certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
