About the role

Our client in Manchester is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join their permanent team. The role offers a blend of client‑facing tax work and leadership of a growing tax department, with opportunities for professional development across local and national projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage corporate tax calculations for a diverse client portfolio.
• Support junior colleagues in the preparation of tax computations and client‑facing reports.
• Act as the primary escalation point for client queries and maintain strong client relationships.
• Deliver consultancy services to a wide range of businesses.
• Oversee the wider tax team both on‑site in Manchester and remotely.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate tax.
• Proven advisory experience working directly with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior staff.
• Experience with enterprise corporate tax software is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a practice environment is highly beneficial.
