About the role
As a Customer Service Consultant you will join Nationwide’s Contact Centre team, providing expert guidance to customers navigating banking products and services. You will work on a rotating shift pattern, handling inbound calls 7 days a week and turning complex financial queries into positive experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Answer inbound customer calls and deliver accurate, courteous support.
- Resolve complex banking and financial queries, offering clear guidance on products and regulations.
- Maintain high service standards while meeting performance targets.
- Participate in a structured 4‑week training programme and ongoing development activities.
- Work flexible shift patterns, including early, mid and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
Required profile
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule and be available for weekends and holidays.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

- Hybrid working model with at least two days per week onsite at the Swindon office.
- 35‑hour work week with shift rotation over a three‑week cycle.
- Minimum salary of £26,500 per year (visible).
