Dealer Oversight & Compliance Controls Officer

About the role

Join Santander Consumer Finance UK’s Regulatory Engagement and Reporting team as a Dealer Oversight & Compliance Controls Officer. You will work in a hybrid setting, spending at least three days a week in our Redhill office, to provide second‑line assurance across our dealer, broker and introducer network.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of second‑line assurance reviews for intermediary oversight activity.
• Assess and test controls that manage dealer and broker risk, documenting outcomes.
• Monitor onboarding, ongoing oversight and exit processes, escalating risks or control weaknesses.
• Maintain awareness of FCA expectations (Consumer Duty, PRIN, SYSC, CONC) and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Produce and present MI dashboards and reports, analysing data sets to identify customer experience trends.
• Document and track actions arising from reviews or external audits, ensuring accurate records.

Required profile

• Experience in second‑line assurance or regulatory compliance within financial services.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulatory framework and Consumer Duty requirements.
• Ability to perform control testing, data gathering and risk escalation.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and fair treatment.
• Effective collaboration across teams and clear communication of findings.
