About the role
Are you an experienced senior leader with a strong background in SEND, safeguarding and inclusion? This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Headteacher to join a specialist school that has an excellent reputation in the local community for its high quality of teaching and care.
Key responsibilities
- Leading whole‑school teaching, safeguarding, and inclusion
- Raising standards and improving pupil outcomes
- Coaching, mentoring and developing staff at all levels
- Supporting safeguarding, wellbeing and attendance across the school
- Building positive relationships with families, external agencies and community partners
- Contributing to the school's long‑term strategic vision and growth
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A successful track record of leadership and school improvement
- Strong knowledge of SEND, inclusion and adaptive teaching strategies
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high‑performing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Strategic thinking combined with strong operational leadership
