About the role
The Desktop Support Technician provides technical assistance to business users across a wide range of end‑user devices and software, ensuring smooth operation of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and related peripherals.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver deskside and remote support while meeting SLA targets.
- Deploy hardware using automated tools such as SCCM and Jamf.
- Enforce desktop hardware and software standards and maintain software compliance.
- Support productivity suites including Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Teams.
- Maintain operating systems, endpoint protection, and hardware destruction standards.
- Perform inventory management and end‑user computer setups.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in mixed Windows and macOS environments.
- Limited travel and participation in on‑call rotation, including weekends.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of end‑user support experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with solid time‑management.
- Customer‑service orientation and documentation skills.
- Willingness to be on‑call and work flexible hours.
Required skills
- Microsoft Windows operating system.
- macOS operating system.
- Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
- Adobe application suite.
- SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
- Jamf device management.
- Hardware deployment, printers and peripheral support.
