Desktop Valuer – Residential Property Valuations

About the role

Countrywide Surveying Services is seeking two experienced RICS‑registered surveyors to join its London team as Desktop Valuers. The role focuses on delivering accurate residential property valuations for lenders, primarily through desktop assessments with occasional site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lender‑required residential valuations, mainly using desktop techniques.
• Conduct limited physical inspections when required.
• Maintain detailed records of valuation findings and submit reports in line with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS registered valuer, preferably with VRS membership or equivalent post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in buy‑to‑let, leasehold and HMO valuations is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proven ability to value a variety of residential property types for lending purposes across diverse locations.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of building construction and pathology.
• High risk awareness within a regulated lending environment.
