Director, Corporate FX Sales (London)

About the role

Citi is seeking an experienced, technical and entrepreneurial Director to lead its UK Corporate FX Sales desk. The role combines deep client coverage with advanced risk‑management expertise to help corporate clients improve their risk‑management strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead independent coverage of a portfolio of corporate clients, focusing on originating alpha solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the team.
• Build trusted‑advisor relationships with key corporate decision‑makers and drive revenue outcomes.
• Act as a technical partner to sales and structuring teams, providing product expertise and analytical support.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to sales capability upskilling.
• Structure complete client solutions using knowledge of accounting, financial statements, regulatory frameworks, operational workflows, market liquidity and local regulations.
• Collaborate with FX Sales, Trading and Banking partners to deliver targeted origination and solutions.
• Engage with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance) to ensure robust governance and compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in FX Sales, Structuring and Solutions within financial services.
• Proven track record of driving commercialization and new‑business origination.
• Strong client‑facing experience with the ability to cultivate senior relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business lines and control functions.
