Director of Procurement

About the role

The Director of Procurement will shape and execute the divisional procurement strategy for our Data Centre Solutions and Critical Environment business across the UK and EMEA. You will ensure value for money, quality delivery and risk management while advising senior stakeholders on best‑practice procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business units in managing existing and new supply chains.
• Support retendering and deep‑dive analyses to align with customer strategy and objectives.
• Mobilise supply chains for new contracts, setting strategy and influencing client decisions.
• Increase compliance with preferred‑supplier contracts through spend analysis, supplier rationalisation and stakeholder influence.
• Identify, select and negotiate with suppliers, reviewing spend to uncover cost‑saving and service‑improvement opportunities.
• Ensure suppliers meet safety, sustainability and accreditation standards.
• Develop contractual arrangements that deliver best value and high‑quality service.
• Conduct regular supplier audits, performance reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement category strategies, close gaps and optimise supplier numbers.
• Educate internal stakeholders on procurement best practice and champion procurement tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement strategy and supplier management.
• Ability to educate, influence and advise senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to review spend, rationalise suppliers and identify value‑improvement opportunities.
• Experience working across multiple regions (UK & EMEA) and coordinating with central procurement teams.
