Domestic Assistant – Sighthill Health Centre (Part‑time)

About the role

The Domestic Assistant provides essential cleaning and housekeeping services across clinical and non‑clinical areas of Sighthill Health Centre. This part‑time position supports a safe, hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, waste disposal and linen handling in all hospital zones.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, infection‑control standards and the National Cleaning Services Specification.
• Support audit and HAI (Healthcare‑Associated Infection) task‑force requirements.
• Report any hazards, damages or equipment issues promptly.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure uninterrupted service during evening shifts.

Required profile

• Availability for evening shifts: Mon‑Thu 17:00‑20:00, Fri 17:00‑19:24.
• Ability to work in a busy healthcare environment and follow strict hygiene protocols.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality domestic services.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health‑and‑safety regulations and infection‑control procedures.
• Familiarity with national cleaning specifications for healthcare settings.
