Housekeeper / Laundry Assistant – Luxury Care Home

About the role

Join Selwood House, a luxury care home in Charlton Down near Dorchester, as a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant. You will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for up to 84 residents, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, common areas, and bathrooms to a 5‑star standard.
• Wash, press, and fold residents' personal clothing and bedding with meticulous attention to detail.
• Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues discovered during cleaning.
• Follow rota schedule, working 30 hours per week, including weekend shifts.
• Support the care team by maintaining a tidy and safe environment for residents and visitors.

Required profile

• Proactive, caring attitude with a passion for resident wellbeing.
• Ability to engage positively with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Experience in housekeeping or laundry assistance is preferred but not essential.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to high hygiene standards.
