Drop Box Attendant – Independent Contractor (Part‑time)

About the role

As an Independent Contractor for the National Diabetes Trust, you will collect and store donated textiles and small household items from donation bins located throughout the community. This part‑time position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to earn extra income based on the volume of donations you handle.

Key responsibilities

• Empty donation bins on a regular schedule provided by the organization.
• Bag loose items using supplied bags and ensure the area around each bin remains clean.
• Complete weekly service log sheets to track collections.
• Transport collected goods to the designated storage facility when required.
• Coordinate with the Diabetes Canada driver to load goods onto the truck.

Required profile

• Own or operate a large vehicle such as a van, cube van, or pickup truck.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly.
• Willingness to obtain an HST number (support provided).
