Duty Manager – Manchester Premier Inn

About the role

As a Duty Manager at the Manchester Central Premier Inn you will lead the hotel on your shift, ensuring guests enjoy a smooth stay while supporting all operational areas. This hands‑on role blends customer service, team leadership and problem‑solving across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead each shift, delivering clear pre‑shift briefings and coaching team members.
• Assist guests with queries, resolve issues promptly and maintain safety standards.
• Support reception, housekeeping and restaurant teams as needed, including checking rooms and helping during busy breakfast periods.
• Identify and address operational issues early to keep the hotel running efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with the Hotel Manager and wider leadership team.

Required profile

• Previous experience leading people in a busy, customer‑facing environment (e.g., team leader, supervisor, shift manager).
• Confident decision‑maker who stays calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping both guests and colleagues.
