About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Assessor to join our team in Hampshire. The role involves delivering and assessing learning programmes for apprentices, ensuring learners meet their targets within the agreed timeframe.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver learning programmes and assess apprentices on Early Years pathways.
- Support individual and group learner outcomes through observation, assessment and guidance.
- Manage functional‑skills progress in collaboration with specialist tutors.
- Conduct progress reviews in line with contractual obligations.
- Provide advice to employers and learners on progression opportunities.
- Undertake Health & Safety checks on employer premises as required.
- Track and record learner progress and update the employer management system.
- Stay informed on government, ESFA and IfATE initiatives.
- Participate in learner recruitment and promote department programmes.
- Contribute to quality processes, CRAE 3 and self‑assessment reporting.
- Work with assessors, IQA and act as Internal Quality Assurer when needed.
- Ensure learner portfolios meet awarding‑body and EPAO standards.
Required profile
- Experience delivering learning programmes and assessing Early Years learners.
- Relevant Early Years education and training qualifications.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with Health & Safety and Safeguarding requirements.

- Permanent contract.
- Competitive salary (£24,574.28 – £26,782.00 pro rata, based on £30,822 – £33,591 per annum).
- Full‑time equivalent hours (29.5 hrs/week) with flexibility for fewer hours.
