Early Years Practitioner – Flexible Nursery Role

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to provide flexible, supply‑staff support across a range of nurseries in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. The role offers the chance to work part‑time or full‑time on a temporary basis, helping children with daily routines, play and learning activities.
Key responsibilities
- Support children throughout daily routines, play, and learning experiences.
- Plan and deliver fun, age‑appropriate activities aligned with EYFS standards.
- Meet children’s care needs while encouraging their development.
- Observe and record children’s progress, collaborating with nursery teams.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Early Years (desirable).
- Paediatric First Aid certification or willingness to complete training.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- Caring, positive, and enthusiastic attitude towards young children.
- Flexibility, reliability and ability to adapt to different nursery settings.

- No specific technical skills required.
