English Teacher – Secondary School (Birmingham)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in central Birmingham. The position starts in September and offers a long‑term, full‑time opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of extending to Key Stage 5 based on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the curriculum standards for Key Stages 3‑4.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross‑curricular projects and share best practices.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities that enhance students' appreciation of literature and language.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Proven experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
