About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting an English Teacher for a secondary school in the N2 area of North London. The role starts in September 2026 and is a permanent, full‑time position delivering the English curriculum to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and promote a positive learning environment.
- Provide targeted support to improve student progress and attainment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to student progress.
