ERP Senior Enterprise Architect

About the role

Transport for London (TfL) is undertaking a major ERP transformation centred on SAP S/4HANA. The ERP Senior Enterprise Architect will be the enterprise‑level authority for this programme, shaping and governing the target architecture across SAP and non‑SAP platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define, maintain and govern the target ERP architecture, roadmaps, principles and standards.
• Lead business, application and solution architecture activities to embed end‑to‑end ERP processes aligned with TfL’s technology strategy.
• Chair the ERP Technical Design Authority to ensure a cohesive, future‑ready ERP landscape.
• Act as the primary interface between the SAP portfolio and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Provide senior technical advice across the entire ERP portfolio, validating as‑is architecture and developing a business‑driven end‑state vision.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, preferably within large public‑sector or transport organisations.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership (ExCo to front‑line) and drive architectural governance.
• Strong understanding of ERP transformation programmes, especially SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical strategy to diverse audiences.
