ESOL Teacher – Adult Education (Manchester)

About the role

The Manchester Adult Education Service is seeking a qualified ESOL Teacher to deliver high‑quality English language programmes for adult learners across Manchester. You will plan, teach and assess a range of ESOL courses, helping learners build confidence and achieve recognised qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver ESOL lessons (pre‑entry to Level 1) in adult learning centres and community settings.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare engaging teaching materials and resources.
• Support learners in developing everyday English skills.
• Encourage learners to exceed their personal learning goals.

Required profile

• Previous teaching experience, preferably with adult learners.
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, TEFL, CELTA).
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks.
