Examiner – GCE A Level Politics (2017 Specification)

About the role

Pearson is seeking a qualified examiner to mark GCE A Level Politics (2017 specification) scripts. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from home while contributing to national qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Mark candidates' responses using the ePEN digital platform, following the pre‑defined mark scheme and examination procedures.
• Submit marking samples to your Team Leader at the designated times.
• Adhere to marking milestones and complete all required administrative tasks.
• Participate in mandatory training between May and June and mark scripts during the May‑July period.

Required profile

• One academic year of teaching experience in Politics within the last eight years, or at undergraduate level within the last three years.
• A degree in Politics or qualified teacher status.
• High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme accurately.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ePEN or similar digital marking platforms.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
