Expansion Lead (Senior Growth Role)

About the role

At Zinc, the Expansion Lead will own a £30M+ expansion opportunity, driving cross‑sell and geographic growth within existing accounts. Reporting to Rakeem, this senior individual‑contributor will build the commercial motion from scratch and identify further expansion chances in renewal conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Own two growth plays – cross‑sell of new products into existing accounts and subsidiary/market expansion.
• Design, track and report the expansion pipeline, ensuring reliable forecasting with Finance and RevOps.
• Work alongside a dedicated outreach hire to focus on high‑value conversations while they handle prospecting volume.
• Collaborate with Marketing on lifecycle campaigns that trigger outreach based on usage, NPS and engagement signals.

Required profile

• Energetic builder who thrives on establishing new processes rather than inheriting them.
• Collaborative influencer who can motivate cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping a role that may evolve over time.

Required skills

• Full‑cycle sales experience – from strategy definition to closing deals.
• Strong data literacy and commercial numeracy for opportunity sizing and forecasting.
• Ability to design pipeline mechanisms and reporting structures, ideally with RevOps support.
• Cross‑functional delivery skills to obtain output from Marketing and outreach partners.
• Risk judgement on complex expansion deals to protect existing customer relationships.
