About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nelson from September 2026. This full‑time position supports young learners in their early years, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, creative learning activities.
- Provide whole‑class and small‑group support to children.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
- Encourage independence, confidence and communication skills.
- Support observations, assessments and learning journeys as required.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
- Experience working in an EYFS setting.
- Good understanding of the EYFS Framework.
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills

- Competitive pay of £16.35 per hour.
- Full‑time hours, Monday to Friday (08:30‑15:30).
