Field Motor Engineer – Multiple Locations (Bristol, Yeovil, Bournemouth, Southampton)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Field Motor Engineer to join our engineering team across Bristol, Yeovil, Bournemouth and Southampton. The role involves vehicle inspection, repair cost negotiation and claims management, supporting customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, detailed engineering reports.
• Assess, value and negotiate vehicle repair costs.
• Provide fair vehicle valuations and negotiate total loss settlements.
• Manage claims through to resolution and liaise with repairers, customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Qualified to IAEA or ATA (VDA) standard.
• Experience in an insurer or independent engineering environment with strong understanding of claims processes and salvage categorisation.
• Ability to inspect a wide range of vehicles including cars, HGVs, agricultural machinery and caravans.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.

• AQP qualification.
