Finance Advisory Lead – Lloyd's Market

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Advisory Lead to join a specialist insurance organisation for an initial six‑month period. The role is hands‑on, partnering closely with senior finance leaders to strengthen governance, controls and reporting across a complex Lloyd's market environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior finance leadership on strategic and business‑critical initiatives.
• Enhance financial governance, reporting frameworks and internal controls.
• Review finance processes and implement control improvements.
• Assist with liquidity forecasting, capital monitoring and FX exposure management.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and document accounting policies.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reviews and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Prepare reporting for executive management, boards and committees.
• Oversee financial reviews of delegated underwriting arrangements.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in the Lloyd's and London market insurance sector.
• Strong technical insurance accounting knowledge and familiarity with Lloyd's regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven experience in financial controls, governance and finance transformation.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
