Finance Analyst – Production & Corporate Finance

About the role

Harper May Ltd, an independent entertainment company producing film, television and digital content, is expanding its finance function. The Finance Analyst will report to the Head of Finance and support production accounting, commercial tracking and corporate financial planning, offering genuine exposure to decision‑making in a creative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile production budgets and cost tracking for active projects.
• Prepare variance analysis and performance reports for management and stakeholders.
• Support quarterly financial reporting and management accounts preparation.
• Build and maintain financial models for project evaluation and scenario planning.
• Analyse revenue recognition, deal structures and commercial contract financial terms.
• Develop KPI dashboards to monitor project profitability and cash flow.
• Assist with forecasting and investment appraisal for new production initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in monthly accounts, budgeting or management reporting.
• Familiarity with cost accounting and profit & loss analysis.
• Strong communication skills for explaining financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Highly organised and detail‑oriented.

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modelling).
