Finance Associate – Invoice to Cash

About the role

As a Finance Associate in the Invoice to Cash team, you will join AVEVA's Shared Services and support the end‑to‑end accounts receivable process. You will be responsible for daily cash collection activities, month‑end closing tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Collect customer payments via email and telephone and record receipts.
• Post and allocate customer payments, maintaining detailed conversation logs.
• Escalate and resolve disputed debts promptly.
• Investigate account discrepancies by liaising with business units and customers.
• Analyse payment plans, histories and credit information to resolve collections.
• Respond to internal and external enquiries and lead regular statement reviews.
• Prepare month‑end accruals, reports and other accounting activities.
• Support the management of AR relationships with key stakeholders.
• Assist in training and developing junior staff.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in an accounts receivable environment.
• Good understanding of finance systems.
• Strong sense of integrity and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Highly energetic, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts as needed.
• Accounting qualification is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with finance/accounting software.
