Finance Business Partner – Cost Controller (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to act as a Cost Controller for a global manufacturing business at its flagship Livingston site. The role will analyse cost structures, provide insight and support financial decision‑making across operations, stores and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on budget variances and overall financial performance.
• Analyse cost data and produce detailed reports to aid business decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Stores, Logistics and Buyers to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and annual budgets.
• Provide cost analysis for new projects and initiatives.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Support inventory cycle‑count programmes and investigate variances.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or construction environments.
• Background in cost accounting or cost analysis (desirable).
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
