Financial Controller (ACA required) – PE-backed Retail – £85-90k + bonus

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing, PE‑backed international retail business based in West London. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal part in shaping finance strategy, ensuring robust controls, and supporting senior leadership in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain finance controls and processes.
• Manage month‑end close, liaise with auditors and ensure tax compliance.
• Lead FP&A activities and contribute to overall finance strategy.
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Analyse balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Deliver ad‑hoc project work and support the FD and COO in strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with ACA training and industry exposure.
• Strong technical finance expertise.
• Progressive mindset with solid academic background.
• Experience in SME or private‑equity environments is a major advantage.
