Financial & Revenue Controller – European Operations

About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented, commercially‑minded Financial & Revenue Controller to support our European operations. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, revenue recognition and compliance with local GAAP while leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations as the core ERP system.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the monthly accounting cycle, reviewing transactions and journal postings to ensure complete and accurate financial results.
- Prepare financial analysis for management, including commentary on variances, trends and performance drivers.
- Develop annual forecasts and budgets for discussion with Country Heads, the European CFO and local forums.
- Coordinate with finance teams in Luxembourg, Jersey, London and Southampton to align reporting timelines, balance‑sheet integrity, intercompany reconciliations and group consolidation.
- Own the end‑to‑end revenue close process across multiple European entities, managing WIP, accrued revenue and revenue recognition.
- Partner with billing and business teams to provide insight into revenue, WIP trends and profitability.
- Maintain accurate revenue recognition in line with financial reporting standards and local regulations.
- Take ownership of European revenue and WIP balance‑sheet accounts, performing reconciliations and substantiations.
- Deliver timely management reporting and analysis, supporting FP&A in budgeting and forecasting.
- Design, implement and maintain robust controls and policies to ensure compliance with internal audit standards.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented and commercially minded professional.
- Proven experience in European financial controllership and revenue accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare insightful financial commentary.
- Knowledge of local GAAP requirements and revenue recognition standards.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional business units and senior leaders.
- Ability to manage multi‑jurisdictional reporting and consolidation processes.
