Financial Controller – £65k‑£80k + Equity, London

About the role

Join a high‑growth fintech lender that has expanded its loan book five‑fold in the past year. As the Financial Controller you will own the full spectrum of financial reporting, controls and audit, working closely with senior leadership to shape the finance function of a business that has already deployed over £100 million to UK SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Lead the end‑to‑end annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning and capital‑raising activities.
• Ensure robust financial controls and cash‑flow oversight during rapid international scaling.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent with at least two years of post‑qualification experience in an operational finance role.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex financial data for non‑finance stakeholders and senior leadership.
