Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team at the Hethel plant. You will be responsible for preparing statutory and management accounts, ensuring balance‑sheet accuracy, and supporting tax compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and report statutory and management accounts in line with international GAAP and multi‑standard requirements.
• Maintain balance‑sheet control, ensuring accurate reporting from all finance business units.
• Support tax preparations, including RDEC and VAT compliance.
• Manage intercompany transactions and monthly/quarterly reconciliations.
• Provide technical support for internal and external audits and drive improvements to the financial control framework.
• Develop, maintain and enhance financial systems, particularly SAP, to simplify processing and improve controls.
• Document finance processes and procedures and lead interactions with auditors.

Required profile

• Proactive, confident multi‑tasker with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non‑finance audiences.
• Resilient and flexible, capable of handling fluctuating workloads and driving continuous improvement.
• Experience working strategically and transactionally in a manufacturing environment.
