Food Runner / Server Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Food Runner / Server Assistant to join our front‑of‑house team at SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden. You will act as the vital link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring dishes reach guests quickly, look perfect, and are enjoyed at their best.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dishes promptly and safely from the kitchen to the dining room.
• Support waitstaff with table setup, turnover and guest requests.
• Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow.
• Anticipate the needs of guests and colleagues to keep the dining area running smoothly.
• Carry multiple plates with speed and precision while adhering to safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fast‑paced, high‑quality restaurant environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Natural sense of urgency, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to learn, grow within the team and adapt to flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Friendly, team‑focused personality with a positive approach to challenges.
