Founder Associate

About the role

Plum is looking for a Founder Associate to work directly with the founder on high‑impact strategic initiatives. This role sits at the heart of the leadership team, driving market expansion, new product opportunities, and acquisition pipelines across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the founder on special projects that accelerate growth and market reach.
• Lead analysis and due‑diligence for potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships in European markets.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Plum’s total addressable market, including new product verticals and geographic expansion.
• Synthesise complex, unstructured information into clear strategic recommendations and actionable plans.
• Build financial models and business cases to assess commercial viability.
• Own cross‑functional initiatives from conception through execution in a fast‑paced environment.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner, bringing curiosity, commercial acumen, and fresh perspectives to strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven track record in investment banking or corporate finance, preferably within financial services.
• Exceptional analytical and financial modelling abilities.
• Fluency in English and a continental European language, with deep understanding of European markets.
• Entrepreneurial mindset capable of thriving in ambiguous, fast‑moving situations.
• Comfort with calculated risk‑taking and decision‑making under imperfect information.
• Strong curiosity and drive to understand and improve processes.
• Passion for Plum’s mission to help people automatically manage money and build wealth.
