Future Workforce Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Future Workforce Analyst to join the West Midlands Growth Company’s Workforce & Future Talent team. In this role you will help shape the region’s skills and talent landscape by turning labour market data into actionable insights that support economic development.

Key responsibilities

• Support workforce and talent initiatives across the West Midlands.
• Gather and analyse employer insight, labour market intelligence, and workforce data to identify emerging skills needs.
• Help shape employer‑led skills propositions that align with business growth and regional priorities.
• Provide data‑driven evidence for policy development, commissioning activity, and strategic workforce planning.
• Collaborate with partners in government, education, and industry to strengthen regional skills provision.
• Produce reports, briefings, dashboards and other intelligence products for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in labour market or workforce analysis.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, working with employers, partners and internal teams.
• Interest in regional economic development and future talent planning.
• Proficiency in producing reports, briefings and visual dashboards.
