GDS Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced GDS Support Specialist to join a leading corporate and leisure travel association in London. The role provides comprehensive GDS and technical product support to advisors and internal teams, ensuring smooth operation of travel reservation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Handle GDS Help Desk queries and provide first‑line support for Travelport, Sabre, Galileo and related systems.
• Assist with GDS formats, workflows, processes and configuration issues.
• Onboard and offboard advisors, including agency implementations and corporate client profile creation.
• Set up new corporate clients and OBT/BTA cards, and load hotel rate codes.
• Create and maintain bespoke itinerary configurations (e.g., TripCase, Navitas Itin‑X) and custom scripts.
• Support installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Sabre Red apps, Galileo Navitas products and other GDS tools.
• Participate in new product roll‑outs, audits and mid‑office updates.
• Identify, document and share GDS changes, and suggest process improvements.
• Escalate training needs and technical issues to IT or operational teams as required.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of the travel industry and GDS environments.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with Travelport back‑end systems.
• Proficiency in Travelport scripting, especially Smart Buttons.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment.

• Galileo Navitas and Navitas Itin‑X.
• Hotel rate code loading and OBT/BTA card setup.
• TripCase configuration.
• GDS audit and mid‑office (Compleat) support.
• Scriptwriting for travel systems.
