General Assistant – Cleaning Team

About the role

Everlast Gyms is looking for a General Assistant to join its cleaning team. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all gym areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members. This is a part‑time position of 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers and communal spaces.
• Sanitise and disinfect surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
• Empty bins, replace liners and follow waste‑disposal procedures.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, alerting management when stock is low.
• Work alongside the gym team to support a seamless member experience.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Adhere to Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety policies at all times.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong time‑management and task‑prioritisation skills.
• Good communication and team‑player attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with gym opening hours.
