Bank Care Assistant – Flexible Shifts

About the role

Prime Life is seeking enthusiastic Bank Care Assistants to support residents at Loran House Care Home in Hull. Working on a flexible bank basis, you will help deliver dignified personal care and promote independence for 46 residents with a range of health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing and bedtime routines.
• Support mealtimes, ensuring good nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage safe mobilisation using mobility aids and specialist equipment.
• Provide companionship, accompany residents on outings or appointments.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and welcome family visitors.

Required profile

• Genuine caring nature with patience, understanding and respect for individual abilities.
• Willingness to work varied shift patterns between 8 am‑8 pm or 8 pm‑8 am across a 7‑day week.
• Desire to make a real difference for residents; prior care experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
