About the role
We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support neurodivergent pupils (aged 11‑14) with moderate learning difficulties and ASD in an independent school in North London. You will work closely with the national curriculum while providing the additional assistance these students need to thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one or small‑group academic support.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture and provide emotional support.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self‑control.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery.
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure student welfare.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK.
- Current, clear DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant.
- Patient, calm attitude and ability to work under pressure.
