Growth Director

About the role

The Growth Director will report to the Managing Director and sit on the Executive Team of NHS SBS. This senior, externally‑focused role is responsible for delivering profitable growth and strengthening the organisation’s impact across the NHS.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all growth functions, including Sales Directors, Solution Sales, Sales Operations, Account Management, Bid Management, Contract Management, and Marketing & Communications.
• Develop and execute a growth strategy that frees up funds for frontline care.
• Build and maintain high‑level client relationships, ensuring contract performance and client satisfaction.
• Drive business development, bid excellence, and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Provide executive‑level leadership across the growth function and the wider business.

Required profile

• Proven track record in public‑sector business development and complex, multi‑million‑pound sales cycles.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Commitment to improving NHS outcomes and delivering public value.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on sustainable, resilient growth.

Required skills

• Experience with large‑scale public‑sector contracts and procurement processes.
• Deep understanding of NHS finance and procurement frameworks, including Oracle Fusion platforms.
• Expertise in sales operations, bid management, and contract management.
