Hairdressing Tutor – Part‑time (Manchester)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Hairdressing Tutor/Assessor to join a well‑established training provider in Manchester. This part‑time position involves delivering theory and practical instruction to learners up to Level 3, assessing progress, and supporting each student to achieve their qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hairdressing training sessions (theory and practical) to groups of learners.
• Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and conduct regular progression reviews.
• Develop, implement and evaluate approved training materials.
• Ensure high standards of learner completion and timely qualification achievement.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of occupational experience in hairdressing.
• A1 Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, D32/33 or equivalent).
• Hairdressing qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3.
• Barbering qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3 (desirable).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate learners.
• Successful DBS check.
