HGV Technician – Rotating Shift – Glasgow

About the role

Scania is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join its Glasgow workshop on a rotating shift pattern. You will work on a variety of heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring they are serviced, maintained and repaired to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs and related vehicle types.
• Maintain workshop safety standards and follow all health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Work within a rotating shift schedule (Week 1: Mon‑Thu 07:00‑15:30, Fri 06:00‑14:30; Week 2: Mon‑Thu 15:30‑00:00, Fri 12:30‑21:00).
• Document work performed and communicate any issues to the service team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a technician in HGV, LCV, car, agricultural, plant or military vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work on a rotating shift roster and adapt to changing hours.
• Commitment to continuous learning and career progression.
