Hire Desk Controller – Leyland

About the role

We are looking for a Hire Desk Controller to join our Leyland depot. In this key operational position you will be the main point of contact for customers, managing the full hire journey from initial enquiry through to delivery and collection.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the central liaison between customers, stock teams, drivers and engineers.
• Coordinate enquiries, quotations, scheduling, delivery and collection of hire equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment availability is maximised.
• Support the depot’s ESG strategy and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or a similar sales/operational role.
