History Teacher – Full‑time, Liverpool City Centre

About the role
We are partnering with a well‑established secondary academy in Liverpool city centre to recruit a passionate History Teacher on a full‑time permanent basis from September. The school serves students aged 11‑18 and offers both GCSE and Sixth Form provision, providing the opportunity to teach across key stages 3 to 5.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- Develop students’ analytical and critical thinking skills through historical inquiry.
- Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the department to design curriculum pathways and share best practice.
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching History in a UK secondary setting, preferably up to KS5.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for history.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
- Committed, reliable, and adaptable professional.

- Effective classroom management and lesson planning.
