Hose Technician – Manufacturing & Technical Support

About the role

The Hose Technician supports the design, manufacture and maintenance of hose, pipe and gasket products for United Central Industrial Supply. Acting as a bridge between sales and production, the role ensures technical solutions meet customer requirements and improves manufacturing efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to sales and production, translating customer needs into manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and implement process improvements, evaluate new tools, and program computer‑controlled equipment.
• Oversee manufacturing staff, recruit, train, and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate with inventory control, purchasing and management on stock levels and equipment acquisition.
• Visit customer sites to troubleshoot issues and gather feedback.

Required profile

• College degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of hose, pipe and gasket manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting to management and interacting with customers.
