Infrastructure & Security Engineer

About the role

United Offshore Support GmbH is seeking an Infrastructure & Security Engineer to ensure high‑availability of core systems and infrastructure worldwide. The role is a 2‑year fixed‑term hybrid position based in either Leer, Germany or Aberdeen, UK, with occasional visits to offices and vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive support and monitoring of global IT infrastructure, network and security systems.
• Deliver technical advice and project delivery for all locations, including offshore vessels.
• Manage capacity planning, infrastructure design, refresh cycles and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee IT change management, reviewing and approving system changes.
• Investigate and resolve network and security incidents promptly.
• Offer 2nd/3rd line service‑desk support and act as an escalation point.
• Document infrastructure and security policies and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Conduct security awareness campaigns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide on‑site support during vessel visits when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Networking, Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking.
• Familiarity with Business Management System (BMS) framework and governance.
