Infrastructure Specialist – London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join the IT Infrastructure team of a leading London market insurer. The role combines day‑to‑day operational support with strategic project work across a complex enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain core infrastructure services, including Windows Server, Active Directory and storage platforms.
• Act as technical lead on infrastructure change initiatives and project deliveries.
• Manage and improve monitoring, backup, disaster‑recovery and patching solutions.
• Provide 3rd‑line escalation support across the business.
• Work on both operational tasks and strategic infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a 3rd‑line/infrastructure role within a large enterprise.
• Ability to work on‑call rota after probation (approximately 1 week in every 10 weeks).
• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.

What we offer

• Salary £65,000 – £85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
• On‑call allowance £6,650
• Weekend work paid at time and a half
• Hybrid working – minimum one day per week in the office
