Infrastructure Support Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Support Analyst to join a leading scientific research institute in London. The role offers hands‑on responsibility across a diverse on‑premise environment, supporting Windows, macOS, Linux, VMware and networking infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 3rd‑line support for Windows Server, Linux and macOS endpoints.
• Maintain and upgrade VMware virtualisation platforms and oversee migration projects.
• Manage Cisco networking equipment, firewalls and enterprise storage (NAS/SAN).
• Support the macOS/Jamf device‑management environment and Windows 11 rollout.
• Participate in infrastructure projects such as high‑performance computing, backup solutions and security enhancements.
• Own complex escalations and contribute to continuous improvement of the technology estate.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in 3rd‑line infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Experience with at least one of the following: macOS/Jamf, VMware, Cisco networking, Linux administration.
• Ability to work predominantly on‑site in a collaborative team environment.
