Installation Engineer – Fibre Network

About the role

Netomnia is looking for an Installation Engineer to join its Direct Labour Operations team in Durham. You will be responsible for delivering fibre connections to customers, ensuring a ‘right‑first‑time’ installation while providing outstanding service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out customer fibre installations on premises.
• Maintain the highest standard of customer service throughout each job.
• Manage tools and the company vehicle in line with the vehicle policy.
• Complete assigned tasks on schedule and meet daily KPIs.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on all sites.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve team targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working on or for the Openreach network.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and identify hazards with a strong focus on H&S.
• Proven track record in a networking engineering environment (preferred).
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
• Proactive attitude towards improving efficiencies.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £30,100‑£34,000 per year.
• Target bonus of 20% of salary and extra pay for one Saturday per month.
• On‑target earnings up to £39,000 per year.
• Full‑time role – 45 hours per week, Monday‑Saturday with one Saturday paid as overtime.
