Internal Auditor – Reinsurance (London)

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join a global reinsurer’s internal audit function in London. You will work on a variety of audit engagements, providing insight and recommendations to improve processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit engagements across the Group, including scoping, information gathering, regulatory research and report drafting.
• Deliver value‑added process improvement recommendations to business units.
• Apply knowledge of the relevant regulatory regime to audit assignments.
• Perform internal controls testing to support compliance with Section 404 of Sarbanes‑Oxley.
• Undertake ad‑hoc audit projects and support the Global Audit team as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• Professional accounting designation (CA, ACCA, CPA or ACA) – required.
• Currently pursuing or holding the CIA designation – preferred.
• 2‑4 years of experience in (re)insurance, financial services or a professional services firm.
• In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and relevant regulatory frameworks (BMA Solvency, Solvency II, Lloyd’s Principles, NAIC, SEC, etc.).
• Strong understanding of internal controls and prior Sarbanes‑Oxley testing experience.
