About the role

Pearson is seeking qualified teachers to work as remote examiners for the International GCSE English as a Second Language (2023) specification. You will mark candidates' responses online, applying the pre‑defined mark scheme while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Mark exam scripts accurately and consistently according to the official mark scheme.
• Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader at designated times.
• Adhere to marking milestones and complete all required administrative tasks.

Required profile

• At least one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years, in the relevant subject.
• Qualified teacher status and a degree or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines (desirable).
• Strong subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme effectively (desirable).
